That is outright ridiculous. Everyone is free to disagree with me on any topic. Removing someone from the list is an action that can be taken when a member misbehaves. If and when I bring that topic up, it is because (and only because!) someone has been violating List Etiquette. JDG went from attacking my arguments to attacking me. Would you agree that this is a violation of the Etiquette Guidelines? Many people (including you) have disagreed with me on some topic or other over the years. If your statement were true, there should have been a great many discussions in which I began discussing banishing my opponent. However, the Archive does not show that. Dan, you have disagreed with me quite often; have I ever suggested banning you? Many others have at some time disagreed with me. Have I ever suggested kicking all (or most) of them? >Indeed, if you were to argue that a significant problem with Brin-L is that >it is difficult to get into any sort of dispute at all with Jeroen without >being threatened, then I'd agree with you. This is utter nonsense. Anyone can have a discussion with me without being threatened with anything, as long as they keep it civilised. I only ressort to what some of you consider "threats" (which mostly are not actual threats, but warnings) when someone tries to win an argument by attacking the poster instead of the argument (something JDG is known to have done repeatedly). >I'd go further and say that Jeroen becoming a listowner exasperated the >problem. Some people call it a problem, but only because those people refuse to accept that my role as a member is separated from my role as a Listowner.
