Nothing sweetie! > > Thanks to free e-mail services like Hotmail, I can get a new address and > subscribe from that address faster than the Listowners can unsubscribe me > again. Those services do have a terms of service agreement. > > And believe me, you will not like what will happen then... Nor would you. You forget that you are talking to a Usenet veteran. I've dealt with hundreds of type of troll you aspire to be. (Sock Puppet) There are quite a few talented people on Brin-L. I dont think you *even* want to imply that you would set yourself against the people who have been your friends for so long. Maybe you ought to rethink that course of action. > > Of course, that is not likely to happen, as I do not believe you will manage > to obtain the list consensus needed to kick me off. > Maybe yes, maybe no. But every day you childishly post to the list with your never ending rant you alienate more of the list, wear their tolerance thinner, and make it more and more likely. Generally I like you Jeroen, and I would greatly prefer to be your friend. Just like in the old days. But now there is something of a problem. There are 3 people on this list who are responsible *for* the list as a functioning entity and responsible *to* the list as a social entity. Of those three people only you have abandoned your responsibility to the social entity that is the community of Brin-L. Now you claim to have *reason* to act thusly. And maybe you do have *some* reason to feel the way you do. You have certainly made a lot of excuses. But you have no reason to abandon all pretense of civilised behavior (in as much as it can be exercised in a virtual forum) to pursue a personal and petty vendetta. For this reason I feel that you have the wrong temperament for the position of Listowner on Brin-L. I also feel that you should be banned for a week for your posting behavior of the last week. I further propose that in the future, *both* parties in a confrontation such as you and Eric had recently should get a week off the list. Regardless of who is right or who is wrong. Fighting, baiting, quarrelling, trolling, intimidating, blackmail, threats, and other impediments to the free flow of discourse *should* be strictly out of bounds. I might remind you that I argued against banning Mark. The reason why I feel this situation is different is a matter of intent. You have stated that you will continue to do the things people have repeatedly asked you to quit doing. I can only interpret this as an intent to disrupt the list until you get your way. Mark at least *volunteered* to curtail his behavior. You have not been so forthcoming. Eric has backed off the behavior that angered you so. You have not responded in kind. You state that you will continue your current ouvre until you get your way. Your recent behavior is much worse than anything Mark did. It is worse than what Eric did. It is worse than anything JDG ever did. And your penchant for escalating behaviors is bringing out the worst in this list. Even our friends from the Culture list have complained about you. This whole brouhaha brings shame upon us all. You have to be able to see that you have helped raise the bar for acrimony higher than ever. Please, dont raise the wall between yourself and the vocal rest of the list any higher. xponent Knights Who Say Maru rob
