On the ethics of an off-list list....

As hard as this may be to believe, the subscribers of brin-l have no right
to brin-l.   Ultimately, the operations of brin-l requires resources, and
those resources are priavtely owned and operated, not publicly.

And besides, if a group of Brin-L'ers were to some day decide to form a
moderated list devoted to open-discussion of everything and anything, who
are we to chastise them for doing so?    I would hope that we could all
respect each other's own pursuit of happiness...

P.S. And for the record, I was not a member of deutero-brin-l, I have no
idea if I was even invited (I've been in Mexico for the past week), and
this message is the very first that I've ever had an inkling of its existence.
