It may not be cooperation, but it is still often necessary and desirable. I have to agree that it is a restriction on free speech, but as Dan pointed out in his post, this is not much of an argument for allowing "anything goes" on this list. There are plenty of other forums (fora?) available. I for one want a simple system put in place on brin2 that will increase the ratio of interesting lively posts to personal attacks. If that means giving up a modicum of my rights to free speech, then, in this forum, so be it. If I can't cope with it, then I will look elsewhere.
