Well, we had a case of apparent backhoe fade yesterday.  At least the
'net connection is through another carrier (i.e., the cable company) or
we *really* would have had problems.  I'm not sure where it was, but it
took out the closest cell towers.  I'm *hoping* it didn't have anything
to do with the signal construction (which will give us a protected left
onto 685 when it's done!), because it would be too ironic for the one
piece of infrastructure I was looking forward to to be the cause of
failure of another arguably more vital piece of infrastructure.
