Darn. You mean, I should have been reading romances all this time? :)
Prolly shouldn't have been reading all the Lansdale I did, but geez, for
some warped reason, I like the guy's writing. (Might not have given it
the benefit of the doubt initially if I hadn't already liked the guy
himself, though. He did a great reading of a story about an adolescent
steamshovel at the last con I went to. Not suitable for children.)

currently in the middle of a Sector General book (_Code Blue -
Emergency_ which is in an omnibus book) and Erma Bombeck on the
nightstand, and read _The View from Saturday_ (which won the Newbery
award in 1997) cover to cover yesterday, and *that* was an interesting
little book...
