I somehow couldn't. I had nightmares if I read of murders, cried over
any mention of infidelity [do you have any idea how many books get
disqualified at once?], obsessed over the safety and the wellbeing of
*all* characters [even the villains have mothers, right?]...heck, I
cried over Archie comics! In short, I was a useless bundle of hormones
and emotions. :)
Romances were all I *could* read and even then I had to limit myself to
funny historicals and bland silhouettes. It was embarrassing. *And*
inconvenient as I couldn't finish even the first page of a romance after
Khushi was born. So I borrowed 'The Islamic Bomb' from my great uncle -
his house was closest to the hospital.....
