1. Bill Clinton is _still_ the best in the business. My God, what a genius.
His was the only speech I caught, but it left me second guessing the term limit. If he were running this year it would already be over.
2. Judging by the importance all Democrats appear attach to serving in the military vs. dodging the draft, I missed their endorsement of George Bush in 1992 and Bob Dole in 1996. I'm sure it happened, though.
But Gautam, the GOP as much as anyone has made it an issue by questioning his patriotism (in their senaky, indirect way). And did I dream that Clintons draft dodging was highlighted by the opposition in both his campaigns? Are you saying that the Democrats have to play by different rules?
I won't be able to answer this post for ten days or so unless I find a high speed internet connection in one of our hotels in Southeast Alaska. Hoping for sunshine....
