The only fantasy books I have ever read are the Harry Potter books, and I have so many other books in my "waiting" pile, I don't see that changing anytime soon.
My daughter, however, has taken rather a keen interest in them. Anything that keeps her off the streets is considered a good thing, so I want to keep that interest rolling...
She is publicly mad keen on horses, but privately somewhat obsessed with dragons.
Can anyone recommend some authors and/or titles which would entertain a 14 year old girl? She has good reading skills, near the top of her class in English at school, but I wouldn't say she was particularly mature for her age (any more than other 14 yo girls in 2004...).
