It's somewhat suspicious, for

815,000 residents 18 and over and 845,000 registered

rate, to put it mildly.
Indeed. Do you know how prosecutors respond to this sort of observation? It seems so over the top outrageous that it couldn't stand... or am I being too naive?
You also do kind of have to
wonder why the Democratic Party in locality after
locality will fight a war to the death to make it
impossible to even ask for the _photo IDs_ of voters. This does not strike me as an entirely unreasonable
request.
Nor me, except that I see that one could make slippery slope argument that this would be a step in the direction of a national id card. I've always found a bit bizarre not to have to show id to vote, given how important it is. IIRC, around here, at least, you do have to show id if it's the first time you've voted. I guess that cuts down on the number of voters that can be invented...
How large is it? I don't know. I don't think anyone knows. Almost certainly not large enough to matter in most elections. Which is the major reason no one has cared about it in the past. But large enough to matter in this one? Quite possibly.
I hope the next few months are truly boring in terms of voter fraud discoveries. Probably too much to hope that there won't be a lot of allegations.
