"I should point out that regionals/nationals for 3 divisions is 6 weekends a
year, not 4.

Well presumably the open & women's divisions would be hosted at the same
time/place as they are currently, so mixed regionals, mixed nats,
open/womens regionals, o/w nats = 4 weekends. But if not, I don't think any
invididual players would play at all 6 events anyway so it's not a problem
(I guess there might be some who would, which is cool, but they can't do
that now so it wouldn't be denying them something they can actually do
currently).

Just to clarify, to save anyone else the bother...

Tour 0 was decided on at the conference, not by the UKU. You had every
chance to go to that conference, as did everybody else.

Foreign teams have been eligible since the tour rules were written years
ago. Too late to complain now if a team finally decides to use them.

Which leaves only the Mixed Tour collapse. Which, as one isolated
incident, and one that people worked hard to fix, looks rather less like
evidence of deep-rooted UKU incompetence.

Finally, if you believe that the tour should be scrapped in favour of a
regionals/nationals setup, try writing a proper discussion of why you
think that. It might even be a valid point, but it's lost in a rant.
Although I should point out that regionals/nationals for 3 divisions is
6 weekends a year, not 4.
