Oh come on Roger, there is instinct, and there is conscious thought. Instinct in all our cases say grab the disc when it pops out. Its what our rational mind says when it assesses what just happened when we should be judged. I think Pete clearly and quite quickly realised it had hit the ground and was not going to try to shy away from that.
stop being so grumpy ya big bear :p But perhaps wer are giving Rodders a bit too much praise for, effectively, doing what we all should do - being honest and playing fair. This should be the norm in our sport (and I have usually felt it to be so), not the exception. If we are moving away from that (where a player's call against him/herself is seen as exceptional), perhaps we have to reassess where we are heading? -Justin ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger Thomson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'Justin Parkhurst'" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, May 13, 2008 11:13 AM Subject: Re: [BD] Ground Strip Rules > Sycophants the lot of you. > > I love the way he tried to pretend he hadn't dropped it - then had second > thoughts, albeit only a moment later. > > Very commendable second thoughts though they were: they were second > thoughts > nonetheless. > > Bear. > > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On > Behalf Of Justin Parkhurst > Sent: 13 May 2008 08:55 > To: [email protected] > Subject: [BD] Ground Strip Rules > > Indeed, well spirited by Rodders in the COTD we saw.
