Ever? They're already inforced in the "Championship Rules", 28 max on the
roster for world level events. These tend to be week long events, for 2 or 3
day events it would make sense to have a lower limit.

Possibly, equally people might decide to form a new team instead. Either way
this would spread some of the most skilled players among more teams, answering

This is a valid point if the limit is set too low.

Playing a 2 day event is not the same as a 7 day event. So you could argue
that playing with a smaller squad at a 2 day event would better prepare players
for the larger event.
