On visiting another TGM I see that doesn't appear to be true UNLESS
you're talking about the bounding box of all primitives comprising the
 view.

I take the attached TGM and run at the CLI:

  rtedge -a45 -e45 -s512 -W new-xpart.g all

and I see the cut-away cylinder in a view that seems not to be
centered on the bounding box of visible objects.

Am I misinterpreting the view?
