I have read the checklist and guidelines of
BRL-CAD carefully. And I have built BRL-CAD following this

and I have learned a little about how to use MGED. I find STEPcode is also
included
in BRL-CAD. Should I do something else to build STEPcode?
I have skimmed through src/conv/step and read http://brlcad.org/wiki/STEP2G. So
for
the project 'STEP exporter', can I consider transferring .g files i.e. database
of BRL-CAD to .stp files i.e. STEPfiles as the first task?
Another question : is the OpenVSP exporter you
mentioned included in BRL-CAD or included in this software
http://www.openvsp.org/?

Hi Lily,Welcome! I am one of the mentors for STEPcode. You will also need
help from some BRL-CAD mentors for the STEP exporter project. The first
things to do are to go to the website
http://brlcad.org/wiki/Google_Summer_of_Code and work through the checklist and
guidelines. For this project, you will need to build both BRL-CAD and
STEPcode. The STEPcode AP203min example, and the existing BRL-CAD STEP
importer would be good places to see how to use the library in code. The
