If you have a good neighbor with Comcast, borrow their modem and see if it get the signal. That should tell you if it is the incoming line or a problem with your modem. If it is the modem, replace it. If it is the incoming line, you are at the mercy of Comcast.
Do you own or lease the modem? If you lease it from Comcast, take it to the store for a replacement. Comcast rates are going up (again).
