I’ll chime in. I moved here in 2004. I contacted the club but the president at 
the time was more involved with the MS 150 support than new member, he actually 
told me “he didn’t have the time.” 

Fast forward a few years ago, I went to a meeting, mainly I was interested in 
Museum Ship Weekend as I operated several years with the Battleship Texas 
group. It was enjoyable but the CW guy was a grouch and took the fun out, so I 
just stick with my own thing.
