My friend, The Khmer Rouge killed their enemies because they were afraid that those people would rise to destroy their rovolution. They wanted a pure communist society. They wanted total power. The khmer rouge didn't hate the Cambodian people. The mass murdering was done for the name of pure communist society. That was a revolution. They claimed themselves to be the real Angkor Cambodians who once control a quite larger land in Southeast Asia.
