You are getting back in the right track. You can blame Vietnam for
anything you want. You cannot change the fact that everything has been
done by the hands of Cambodians over Cambodians in Cambodia. No matter
how you believe it. This is the fact. You can blame Vietnam all you
want. As long as some Cambodians do it over their own people, it is
not Vietnam who are guilty. Cambodians are mostly guilty first. They
are not victims.
Stop blaming others for their own illnesses.

Now, let us put this in a perspective. If Vietnam truely want to
colonize Cambodia, and Cambodians allow it to happen, who are
responsible for Cambodia?
If Vietnam was behind the killing during the Khmer Rouge regime, and
Khmer Rouge Cambodians killed their own people in millions, who are
responsible for that?
Shall we blame on Vietnam if we all agree that Vietanmese are all
behind those scenerios?
How about those who carried the acts?
Are they not Cambodians?
If they are, aren't they responsible for their own acts?

Vietnamese can take over Cambodia as long as Cambodians allow it.
The situation in Cambodia is not that. We have seen it again and again
that only Cambodians fight each other endlessly with other nations
behind them. We saw Cambodians used USA, China, Vietnam etc.... to
destroy their own people in their own country. Who are responsible for
those things?

Let me give you an example. Lon Nol decided to negotiated with
Sihanouk for the sake of Cambodia. But Sihanouk had none of it because
he knew that his coalition was going to win. He didn't choose a
peaceful way. Yet, he is the father of Cambodia. This is the kind of
mentality that a good country should have.
