Mike, well, maybe doing things "the Apple way"
wouldn't be such a bad idea as Camino appears to be an
Apple product.
Using the keyboard delete key isn't that bad but it
does need to be consistent. For example, in cleaning
up history, selecting bookmarks by dragging for a
"volume" delete works ok but doing an "apple A" won't
do a delete from the delete key. Should it?
My comment is a very long criticism of the many
different ways to do some common and highly repititive
actions. I have many users have problems dealing with
this. I don't know that I would call it complicating
the UI but it does confuse some users.
In general, the fewer ways to do some task the easier
it is to teach. And, much more important, it makes the
application much more robust, easiser to repair, and
modify as neede.
