Layline (www.layline.com) might be interested in doing this. They build
the synthetic rigging systems around the Precourt deadeyes and have
advertised that they have a system to test the strength of various
lines and fittings. It seems to be basically a large I beam with
hydraulics and load cells.

Maybe since they sell the systems, they would be interested in testing
an old set.
