     The Precourt fittings allow that adjustment quite easily. Not quite as
easily as the Highfield levers, but lots less banging around.

       UV degradation is an issue. But since 3/8 inch Technora is way
oversize, the one year limitation is probably unneccesarily conservative. 2
to 3 years might be about right. These darkly pigmented lines probably
protect themselves somewhat, as well. Mike Leneman has a more specific
analysis of this.

       Great idea. I would like to see this test done on the whole assembly
to test the splices and fittings as well. I am due for a new set in a while.
I will donate the old ones to someone who would test them. Any takers?
