but NO problems until this Fall (a few weeks ago). The port side forward cross
beam on closer examination shows some early stress cracks (extremely
superficial) along the forward edge of the compression pad as well - so I'm going to
repair that as well. Since I am not particularly skilled with this type of repair
and both sides need to be done, I'll have to find someone else with
appropriate skill to do it. Ian has sent me the info regarding beam end repair.

Did it have any collisions which might have caused this?
