Interesting reply, Tony. My own advice would be NOT to put in any new engine
which, like the high revving 1.5 will sooner or later give up the ghost.

Why not a reconditioned air cooled Lister two cylinder or something like
that? Something with a bit of torque which is minimum maintenance and high
durability? With modern methods of sound insulation, I've seen some very
tidy, economical installations.
