But different people are looking for different "bang". Some want the maximum distance they can cover on the time they've got available. Others want plenty of opportunities to tie up the boat and go sightseeing ashore. Others want the greatest possible variety of town/county, broad/narrow canals. SOme want the fun of working a lot of locks, others want the rest of hardly any locks. One thing that I think this list has been good at in the yhears I've been here is saying excly that sort of thing - "If you want *this* sort of trip, then try........ on the other hand if you want *that* sort of trip then you;d be better off with......."
