Graham,
I much appreciate your views and suggestions for this trip (September 1 to 8).
I have printed your note so I can incorporate your ideas into our plans.

Eric

  Eric

Your plan is do-able but I would go for stopping at different places on
  the way back.

If you like peaceful, quiet rural moorings then I would recommend The
old quarry just above the Rock of Gibraltar and also Nell's bridge just
above Aynho. These will match your first night near Priors Hardwaick for
peace and lots of wildlife to observe.

If you are after pubs to eat and drink in the evening, then choose from
Fenny Wharf, Aynho and Banbury for stopping additional points.

Cropredy to Thrupp is two days travel. When is this trip occurring?
Daylight length can make a lot of difference to cruising distance and
  lock queues on the Oxford.

If you look on the trip reports on the Jannock website, you will find
numerous log reports for doing the Oxford as we spent 5 years moored at
Cropredy so the start and end of every trip involved doing it.

  Enjoy

  Graham
