The area certainly doesn't have a good rep for security, and I recall 
Water Travel having to buy some freight containers to store customer's 
cars whilst they were boating.

OTH, isn't the issue the same as  with all "bandit country"? The answer 
is more use, not less. Apparently St Ives has its ASB problems, but 
they didn't surface during the National because of the impact of the 
event on the town.

This may be too much to hope for in the case of Pendeford, but is it 
any worse than other places we've been to over the years? (Salford 
Quays or the campaign rally at Runcorn, for example?)
