Argos do some short term offers, time word gets around the offer is closed. Also I think that some stores do "local offers" - probably to shift old stock (and if that don't work they use eBay). Anyway, as someone esle said, most of the flat screens need a fairly stable 12V (or whatever voles the TV want). This one seems very happy on a wide range, I have to assume that they have built in a voltage stabilizer into the set - would seem logical as the set is designed for travelling and multi-country - besides DVB-T tuner there's a normal PAL-I and that can be changed to any other PAL format, plus I think VHS TV, aslo has input/output for direct video and a VGA PC momitor socket.
