Sounds very close to the one we bought from Argos a few months
ago (£99). The spec plate on the back says 12v but it comes with
a 240->12v convertor. I've not been able to find a match to the
power connector so that I can try it on 12v so we run it through
our invertor. (They were advertising it as being on offer but
it wasn't on display and the store assistant and I had to do a
bit of digging before they found it. The confusion was because I
asked for 12v and it was listed as 240v)

Having read earlier posts about some TV being unhappy with a
direct 12v connection when engine is running perhaps I should
be a bit cautious about using 12v. Is there any way to check
whether a voltage greater than 12v will cook it?

Regards

Will
