Are people here aware that BW are about to start charging over-stayers
at Anderton? I don't have the details to hand but it was raised at the
user forum a few weeks ago. They are targeting known problem areas but
only where there is a BW resource (i.e. an office) close to hand to
monitor and issue the charge notices.
Personally I'm in favour of it, but it needs to be implemented
nationwide. I wonder if it would be economic for BW to put in resources
(i.e. parking attendants) specifically to manage this process.
Sounds like a more reasonable way to raise money than the other ideas
they've come up with recently..
