I don't think that it's that simple in Skipton. I believe that they pre-
book their places. It is only one half of the 14 day moorings that BW 
let as winter moorings, the other 14 day and the central 3 and 1 day 
moorings are therefore fully available to the 
visiting...............unlicensed and over-staying boats ;-)))
