Hi!
I saw your email for information (Ideas) so I have pasted the address
and telephone number of the local Red Cross (Hilperton side of
Bristol) It's just off the A420 (Turn right) when you get to Warmley
(From Bristol Central)and make your way towards Cadbury Heath and ask
for directions there.

When I broke a leg several years ago, I have a recollection that I
was able to "borrow" one from the Red Cross. I suggest you phone
early and book it, as they are not plentiful! I think I paid £10.00
for the week. That was enough for me trying to get around in a chair!
It wanted to go it's own way and not in my chosen direction. I have
since had a lot more respect for people who need to use them!

Anyway, this is a start for you. You will find these people very
helpful I am sure. If they don't do them, ask them to point you in
the right direction. The disabled centre in Gill Avenue, Fishponds
might also be able to help. They are worth a try.

Have a lovely holiday. I hope you do really enjoy yourselves.

You will find that your Dad will like to sit in te bows, watch the
countryside meander by and he will thoroughly enjoy his canal
holiday. I took elderly parents on several hire holidays many years
ago, when I was married., so speak with some personal experience.

Good luck. Hope the weather's good for you too!

Regards. ~Allan~ nb.Pengalanty (At present on the Southern Grand
Union near Berkhampstead)
PS: Please let me know how you get on.
