Once again, thanks for the advice! I have no intention of trying to over exert myself--that would defeat the purpose of cruising at 3mph through the countryside. I'm looking for the opposite of being in a rush! I'm an early riser, so I think it's quite possible we could set out by 7:30 or 8 each morning. I would think it wouldn't be a stretch to make a 5 or 6 hour day, with plenty of time for a comfortable lunch and some nosing around here and there, no?
The Ashby sounds like the right "speed" for us. In that direction, we'd go through the Newbold tunnel, right? Not quite as impressive as Braunston or Blisworth, I assume. Does anyone have an opinion on the Crick route--i.e. ? Dave
