Definitely not! Newbold is a bit more than an elongated bridge but not much more (that's a bit unfair actually!) However it's dead straight and you can see the far end so not so exciting as Braunston and/or Blisworth. It also lacks a waterfall to catch you out :-)}
The Ashby is very pretty but also shallow. I think which way you go will depend on your (or your crew's) view of locks. Personally I prefer routes that have a fair number to break up the day and tend to view a day that has no locks as less desirable but there are other views. >Does anyone have an opinion on the >Crick route--i.e. ?
