Of course, one downside of the smoking ban is that if you want to go in the pub garden in the summer it's full of morons puffing away at the dreaded stinkweed.
BTW I'm going to my county's CAMRA pub of the year tonight. It'll have five real ales on (at least one will be a mild, a porter or a stout), it does excellent food and it lets dogs in. It'll be crammed with people. If they can do it why can't others? Dave NB Hic!! Presumably you are going to the pub to indulge in the vice of your choosing ? You may consider a smoker to be a moron but when did you ever hear of anyone getting killed by a driver that had smoked too much ? Or a marriage ruined , family in debt or job lost because the person was a smoker ? Do cigarettes cause people to fight in the streets ? Stink weed, you say, then perhaps the smell of tobacco can mask the reek of vomit in our cities at night, the result of drinking? Both alcohol and smoking are drugs, you cannot knock one whilst you doing the one the one that causes the far worse social damage.
