I agree with most of what you are saying, and am wholeheartedly in agreement about not pricing people off the waterways, but I'd just like to say that Travellers are people too! - whether waterway or land based- they are not a 'problem' to be 'dealt with' and tidied up. I don't see that a boat's right to navigate and to overstay should depend on how it looks, or the (assumed) affluence of the owner. After all, most working boaters would have looked similar and have given most of us short shrift if we got in their way. Anne C
