Oh dear oh dear . . . . I wouldn't risk proffering an opinion on this
sensitive topic for fear of upsetting some poor delicate soul. Though
if I did it might be to suggest that top posting is for buffoons.

PS - my underlying view is that it is up to the originator to choose
how he/she wishes to present his/her contribution. Ignoring protocols
is their affair. If folks want to go "down the pub" with egg on their
collars and flies akimbo the locals will draw their own conclusions.
The locals might be wrong though.
