I am pleased to report that both the command:

gem update --source http://astro.berkeley.edu/~davidm/gems adc16

and

adc16_init.rb [ROACH IP ADDRESS]  [ROACH BOF FILE NAME].bof

work when running on the PC platform.  The only problem I have at this time
is that the default directory when connecting to port 7147 is not /usr/bof/
which requires me to telnet into this interface and issue the command
'?chdir /usr/bof'
