In my continued quest to free up my mainsheet I stumbled onto an alternate routing of the mainsheet. The original, by the Catalina drawings, has the mainsheet binding on the top boom vang block. I was looking at a new 28 Mk II and noted that the sheet was routed under the vang. This worked great on my 85 C27 and required no modifications other removing and gooseneck sheet block and reversing the mast step mounting points of the vang and sheet block.
