Hi Henry,

I’ll start off but I’ve only been on a C27 once so I expect to be corrected. The simple answer is:

150 – 12-15 knots

130 – 15-25 knots

110 – 27-35 knots

But it’s never quite that simple.

Are we talking hanked on deck sweepers or fuller cut sails?

-          If they are furler cut does the furler have a double swivel or is the CDI type?

-          If they are furler cut are they also roller reefing cut and padded?

Is the boat rigged with racing controls or is it 3 sheets and a vang?

Subject: catalina27-talk: Wind Speed For Sails

What would you say is the maximum, comfort zone and absolute safety, wind speed for a 150, 130 and 100 jib on a C27?
