My rudder stuffing box has lost the bond with the fiberglass tube. I had this problem years ago when I bought the boat and did a quick fix with underwater epoxy. Anyone have any experience with this repair? The boat is in the water and I have shifted all equipment forward. I have 2 trashcans full of water on the bow to lift the stern. The stuffing box is pushed up on the shaft to the rudder drive wheel. I am thinking about using 5200 on the stuffing box, but I am not sure if I can get the tube clean and dry enough for it to stick.
