Yes, I was thinking about doing something like that. I may consider replacing the single block on the jib track with a double block and run back to a single block somewhere on top of the gunwale behind the wheel. There is a cleat already there

To: [email protected] Subject: catalina27-talk: Date: Tue, 10 Feb 2009 11:10:08 -0500 From: [email protected] I am looking for an easy solution to single hand my 27. I am outfitted with a wheel which I love but it creates a problem in getting to the jib winches that are forward of the wheel. Every time I tack, I have to fight to get past the wheel to winch in the jib. I was thinking about moving the winches back so that I can get to them easily but I does not look like there is enough surface to mount them with out making some sort of bracket. Has anyone ever done this or created any kind of alternative system to haul in the Jib from the back of the cockpit Ted Pinelli A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy st eps!
