Dear Family & Friends of Prayer, In Thanksgiving:
Msgr. Leo Bierster, after receiving Last Rites of the Church or the Sacrament of the Anointing, has been released from the hospital. He is home and is now involved in a Rehab program. Praise God! Daniel O'Connor, after having serious brain surgery for the third time, has made a remarkable recovery. Let us give thanks to our good and gracious God! Stacy Magliaro, who had an massive stroke on November 9th and for whom you have been praying, is now walking around and is expected to be transferred to a Rehab Program for speech therapy and other therapies that she may need. What a generous and good God we have! Many thanks for your intercessory prayers for these individuals. It says in the little blue Pieta Book with which many of your are familiar "GOD GOVERNS THE WORLD, BUT PRAYER GOVERNS GOD." Our dear, loving and merciful God wants us to pray to Him. the powerful Name in the World is "Jesus." The Holy Name of Jesus is a prayer in itself. May God bless you abundantly for your prayers. Please be assured of mine at daily Mass. Remember that all of these graces came through the intercession of our Blessed Mother! God has given her all power to dispense graces as she believes are profitable for our salvation. Urgent Prayer Requests: Jennifer Stiehm, just 29 years old, is suffering from a serious stroke. Please pray for her complete recovery. Susan Shaughnessy, for whom you have been praying, died peacefully today in a DC Hospital. Evidently, Susan, 31 years old,went into a coma after an insidious virus attacked her brain. Her co-workers really admired Susan. After graduating from college, she volunteered at Covenant House. At the time of her death, she was working at the John Paul II Cultural Center in DC. As you recall her co-workers, prayed for around the clock; however, God, in His infinite Wisdom, wanted her pure soul much more. Please pray for the repose of her soul and her family members. Doug Pronest, 54 years old, is the victim of a hit and run car accident. He was left on the road to die. Many of his bones are crushed, especially his pelvis. Please pray to our kind and loving God to heal Doug as He did so many in the Gospels. Fran Semler,is suffering from Macular Degeneration. Please pray that her sight may be strengthened and healed. Srs. Mary Jean, Mary S., Mary B. and Rose Marie of Our Lady of the Valley House located in Gloversville, S.C., ,through Divine Providence and your intercessory prayers, may have sufficient resources to serve the poorest of the poor. They have given their lives in service to the poor. Let us pray that our good, merciful and loving God will be kind and generous to them. Thanks again for your constancy in prayer, your kindness and love for those in urgent need. Your intercessory prayers are indeed powerful!
