Dear Faithful Family & Friends of Prayer, Please pray for the following in great need:
Fr. Pius Kir, priest of The River States in Nigeria, was abducted by unidentified gunmen recently. Please pray for his safe and immediate return. 14 Sisters of the Holy Family of Bordeaux, are currently being held captive in bunkers in the midst of the civil war tearing apart the country of Sri Lanka. Please pray for their safety and for all those affected by this vicious fratricidal struggle including the most vulnerable: elderly children and the those with handicaps. Michael, a new born, has many health problems, including breathing difficulties. Please pray for his improved health. Msgr. Frank Kumontis, former Director of Catholic Charities in Harrisburg, died recently. Please pray for the repose of his immortal soul. Grace, my good friend Paul's mother-in-law, had an eye operation. Subsequent to the operation, she had to be rushed back to the hospital for additional treatment. Please pray for a complete recovery. Becky, a young 33 year old mother with 3 children, recently had a cervical fusion operation. May the Lord bless her with complete healing. Elaine is being treated for Ovarian cancer with Chemotherapy. The medical staff are giving Elaine an 80% recovery rate. Michael Morris, age 79, is struggling with an inoperable brain tumor. Please pray for God's Healing Hand to touch Michael. Gabriella Aleman, a small child struggling with SMA, Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Her prognosis isn't good. Please pray for her well-being and for her parents. Matthew and Raphael, premature twins, are one pound each. they are struggling with many health issues. Pleas also pray for their healing. Titus, a newly born baby in PICU, is ill with the flu after having a cleft palette operation. Please pray for his healing. Jackie Roskos has been diagnosed with a mass in her breast. She is being evaluated. Please pray that she may not have cancer. Fred Janssen, a very good friend of mine, has had numerous medical problems recently. Now he has high calcium levels. The medical staff attending him cannot discover the cause of his elevation. Please pray for his healing and for his dear wife, Mary Ann as well. Monique Humphies, Caroline Pefley's sister, has discovered small lumps under the skin located on her neck. Her white blood count appears to be within normal limits so the medical staff does not think she has cancer. Please pray for an accurate diagnosis and proper treatment. A young 22 year old man, who is a friend of Lindy, Caroline's other sister, has been diagnosed with Throat cancer. Please pray for appropriate treatment and full recovery for this person. Stanley, Barbara Williams' personal and devoted friend, is struggling with poor health from pneumonia. He is discouraged and depressed with his poor health. Please pray for God's Will in Stanley's life. May our good and gentle God restore Stanley to good health. Michael, a 39 year old father of three young boys, has been diagnosed with a large acoustical neuroma that is pressing against his brain. May God lay His healing Hand upon this young father and restore him to complete health. Many thanks for your constancy in prayer and your concern for those in urgent need. Please be assured of my prayers for you at daily Mass. Services for Elizabeth A, McKenna, our dear friend, Betty, will be held on February 16, 2009 at St. Joseph's Church in Emmitsburg, MD.
