Dear Faithful Family and Friends of Prayer, As I leave my most needed Lenten retreat, I come to you again for urgent prayer request.
Martin Keefe, for whom you have already prayed when he had surgery for an aggressive type of brain tumor. Subsequent to the operation, Martin was doing remarkably well; however, just recently, I learned that he is suffering from blood clots in his lungs. Because his doctors are treating him with blood thinners, they are concerned that the clots may travel to his heart and perhaps bleeding in the brain may occur. Please continue to pray for Martin so that he may have another complete and speedy recovery. Wayne Warthen, a good friend, member of our community and volunteer for Mission of Mercy, has recently discovered that he has an aggressive Prostate cancer. Wayne's only option is surgery. Please pray that Wayne will have a successful operation with a complete and speedy recovery. Katherine "Kitty" Bunch, Mike's sister-in-law, has been told that she has fluid around her heart. She has been suffering with bronchitis, diabetes and other medical conditions. Please pray for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment for Mike's sister-in-law. PS: Mike is one our housemates in our House of Prayer. Aimee, a young mother, is two months pregnant. She has a nodule on her one remaining ovary. Please pray, first of all, that the baby will be delivered safely and that the nodule is nothing serious. Billy Gorski, for whom you have been praying, had an operation for an amoeba in his eye. The surgeons have had to remove Bill's eye. Now, They suspect that the Amoeba may be traveling into his whole system. Please pray for an accurate diagnosis and proper treatment for this young man. Donna and Joseph Hogan, members of our community, need prayers for healing. Joseph has autism and Donna, his mother and sole caregiver, has serious back problems. Joseph is in a therapeutic day program near Pittsburgh. When they return to Maryland soon, Donna will have treatment and or perhaps surgery on her back. Please pray that the Lord will heal Donna and her son Joseph's needs may be met in an appropriate manner. The Binett Family, in Malta, is in a state of crisis. The grandmother of the family is dying and the family is trying to cope with this sorrowful situation. Matthew Binett's mother is recovering from a back injury and is also trying to provide for the needs of his grandmother. May our dear, gentle, gracious, loving and merciful God bless you abundantly during Lent and the Easter seasons for your constancy in prayer and your deep and genuine concern for those in need of intercessory prayer. I will continue to offline until the Wednesday after Divine Mercy Sunday for, as I mentioned already, for solitude, spiritual reading and prayer.
