Dear Faithful Family and Friends of Prayer, In Thanksgiving: Linda Duffy, for whom you have been praying because of an apparent stroke, has recovered nicely while being treated at York Hospital in PA. When a friend found her Linda's speech was slurred and she was immovable. She can now move all body extremities and her speech is within normal limits. The doctors feel that Linda may have a clot; therefore, she is undergoing many tests. Praise God for His goodness, love and mercy and thank you for your powerful intercessory prayers.
Jim Robertson, a devoted husband and father, will now have to change over to permanent Kidney Dialysis. May our good and gentle God give Jim the strength and peace to endure his serious medical condition. Please keep his wife, Mary Ann, in your prayers. Leah, a 19-year-old young mother, delivered her first baby last November. She was in remission for cancer; however, the oncologist has informed that the cancer has returned. Leah is in Stage 3 because the cancer has spread to her breasts and her Lymph nodes. Let us pray for God to shower many graces and blessings upon Leah and her baby, through our Blessed Mother. "For God, nothing is impossible." (Lk 1:37) Bobby, the 17-year-old nephew of my good friend, Anita, has head trauma injuries resulting from a head on collision with a woman who had a heart attack while diving her vehicle on a major highway. The woman expired from the accident and heart attack. Let us pray for complete healing for Bobby and for the repose of the soul of the woman who died in this accident. The following prayer requests come from my good friend, Barbara Williams, who now lives in New Jersey: Danielle Clark, a young mother of three children including one-year-old twins, will have surgery to correct a clogged carotid artery on Thursday that has caused her much suffering in recent months. Danielle also has cystic fibrosis. Let's pray for success of the surgery and improved health. On February 24, Susan Shea, mother of 2 young children will have a hip replacement surgery on February 24. Apparently, due to a congenital genetic defect of the ball/socket joint, Susan has need of this surgery to relieve her pain. Elaine had ovarian cancer surgery last Wednesday and is undergoing chemotherapy and told that she has 80% success with this treatment. However, she and all her siblings (except 1) left their Catholic faith years ago and don't practice any faith. Her sister-in-law, whom I know, is asking prayers for repentance and conversion of all the siblings. A young man is in love with a fine girl who has serious bi-polar issues that worry the boy's parents. Please, Lord, grant wisdom and guidance to this couple for the right decisions regarding their future and give peace to the parents trusting in God's mercy and direction. My dear friend Mary Varga would like her daughter Sarah to obtain a job. Sarah graduated college last month and we all know what a difficult economy we are experiencing. Please have our generous God grant proper employment to Sarah. Eric, a 20-year-old troubled man, has just been arrested in Pennsylvania for shooting into a crowd of people because he was having a verbal argument with another young man. The shots injured two people and Eric is being held for attempted homicide. Pray for Eric and the help he needs to survive emotionally and to receive proper care.
