Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (MNWR) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC)

     A HUDSONIAN GODWIT continues this week at the Visitor’s Center and at 
Knox-Marsellus Marsh.

     10/20: A female RUFF was seen at the Armitage Road fields and continues 
thru 10/22. 

     10/22: A SEMI-PALMATED SANDPIPER, a WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER, a PECTORAL 
SANDPIPER and 2 LAPLAND LONGSPURS were at Armitage Road. 9 LONG-BILLED 
DOWITCHERS and 80 SANDHILL CRANES were seen from East Road.







Cayuga County

     10/17: A PINE SISKIN was seen at Fair Haven State Park.

     10/29: A FORSTER’S TERN and a BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER were seen at Fair Haven.

     10/21: A BLACK SCOTER and 2 WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPERS were seen at Fair 
Haven.







Oswego County

------------




     10/17: A HUDSONIAN GODWIT was see at Selkirk Shores State Park on Lake 
Ontario. It was present on the 18th. also. 

     10/20: 15 SURF SCOTERS were seen from the bluff at Derby Hill.

     10/22: 7 Shorebird species including BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER and WHITE-RUMPED 
SANDPIPER were seen at Selkirk Shores.







Onondaga County

------------




     10/17: A LINCOLN’S SPARROW was seen at the Boat Launch and Visitor’s 
Center on the west shore of Onondaga Lake.

     10/23: 2 CACKLING GEESE were seen at Old Fly Marsh Preserve in Pompey. A 
BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was seen at Lakeview Point on the West Shore Trail of 
Onondaga Lake.







Oneida County

------------




     10/22: A FOX SPARROW was seen at the Dwyer Road Swamp north of Verona. A 
SURF SCOTER was seen at the Verona Beach Lighthouse.







Herkimer County

------------




     10/22: 2 EVENING GROSBEAKS were seen at a feeder in Dolgeville.

     10/23: A RED CROSSBILL was heare on Bear Creek Road east of Woodgate in 
the Adirondacks.
