If the system says it needs a reboot do it then before moving on to the next bit of the question. Always reboot all kit I would say about 1 hour before the end of the day to make sure all is still working. Save your configs at least every hour so if anything goes south you don't have to redo it all. Not what was completed at each stage you save so you know where you have to go back to

I´ll try to remember to mark each task as "done", "verified" and (ultimately, if time permits) "verified again". How about reboots? When? why? how often during the day? /J 2010/7/12 Brian Landers <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Two recommendations from me (that I"m trying to keep fresh in my head for my attempt in 3 DAYS) #1 Use a checklist, but one with multiple columns (I think I got this from Jared Scrivener). - One checkmark for "I did this" - one for "I verified this". For me, this is the 30 minutes before lunch - one for "I verified this again". This is the end of day full re-verify - Optional: a column for "this is an easy/cherry-pick". Pick the quick hits before you start - Optional: a column for "this is a core task". More applicable to R&S but you may want to mark things that affect connectivity such as Inline IPS or access list tasks. #2 Keep a separate running total of points you've earned. - Optional: a running total of "I'm 100% sure I completed these successfully" and "I'm _fairly_ sure this one is right". - You ideally want to have the 100% sure total be > 80% at the end of the day.
