Thomas,

I am also having very similar problem, I have been trying to run Pymol on RHEL4 with an nVIDIA Quadro NVS 285 graphics card, and the hardware stereo does not work. Since my computer also does not have a 3-pin mini-DIN plug, I have been using an emitter with StereoEnabler from Nuvision.

   Thanks

Subject: [ccp4bb]: Stereo / nVIDIA Quadro FX550

Dear all,

I am having trouble setting up stereo on a linux machine (RHEL 4) with an nVIDIA Quadro FX550 graphics card.

According to REAL D the card should be able to do stereo (using an emitter with StereoEnabler, since it does not have a 3-pin mini-DIN plug). My monitor (SGI 24inch widescreen GDM-FW9011) shows the interlaced stereo image but the emitter does not properly produce a signal. The red LED of the emitter occasionally lights up, but does not stay lit. I tried various screen resolutions / refresh rate settings, none work.

If anyone out there is running stereo on this card or another nVIDIA Quadro card without 3-pin mini-DIN I would be very curious to take a look at the working /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.

Thank you,

Thomas.
