FWIW: If you have a Mac, the Apple Sauce+ FDC does the same thing as the Kryoflux. https://applesaucefdc.com/ It can do standard reads of _many_ formats, as well as a complete Flux read of the disk. Hook up any type of drive and read it in over USB. Besides my Apple 3.5" external, I've done PC Teac 3.5" drive and 5.25" drives. I still have to get my Apple 5.25" drive out of storage). The documentation says he has tested 8" drives, with some suggestions for the Shugart 50 pin adapter down to PC type cable. https://wiki.applesaucefdc.com/doku.php?id=drives:8 The software support is excellent (but Mac only as I mentioned), and I'm amazed at the # of odd formats he supports. Unfortunately the hardware is currently sold out. But per their discord discussion, the guy behind it is planning on another run of his hardware at some point in time. Just be patient and wait out the time it will take.
